Presentation at the W-16 in Birmingham
3D-Space-Wave among finalists at Innovation Awards
A Stampede of visitors and over 200 international exhibitors ensured that the W-16, in combination with the Elements fair, was once again a highlight in the furniture and joinery industries. Every other year, the United Kingdom’s leading fair is held in Birmingham and showcases the latest products and developments in the wood processing and woodworking industry, as well as related components and materials – all under one roof and for over 40 years now. It has thus become the meeting point for all manufacturers, processors, wholesalers and retailers in the region.
A new feature this year was the “Elements of Innovation Awards”, created especially for this trade fair. A panel of industry experts selected the winning innovations. The criteria were the design, high standard and revolutionary nature of products and technologies.
As a long-standing exhibitor at the fair, Döllken was again represented under the umbrella of SURTECO, as were, of course, BauschLinnemann, Gislaved and SURTECO DECOR. As a pioneer in edgeband innovations, Döllken also competed for the above-mentioned “Elements of Innovation Awards” with its new 3D-Space-Wave, and soon found its place among the finalists. As a result, the 3D-Space-Wave was not only exhibited at Döllken’s fair stand, but also in the Innovation Zone of the Elements fair.
This fair was once again a success for Döllken and SURTEO UK too. Alongside innovations such as the 3D-Space-Wave and the 3D-2in1 Endgrain edgeband, it goes without saying that the focus was also on e.g. the Edgebanding Finder, the FUSION-EDGE and the Digital Edge, which were all exhibited. BauschLinnemann, SURTECO DECOR and Gislaved also presented their innovations and products under one roof at this shared SURTECO UK fair stand.
